Visa
You DO NOT need visa if you are a citizen of: USA, Canada, Russia and all countries which were part of the former Soviet Union, Japan, all members of the EU, Norway and Switzerland. You will only have to fill out a small form in the airport.
Some of you will need visa and the secretariat will assist you to get it. Our arrangement with the Ukranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs means that all participants, who need visa, will be accredited as journalists. A letter about this will – with an invitation from GIJC – be sent to the consulate in your country (or the next Ukrainian embassy). The visa procedure will take some time, so you should not apply later than September 15th.
Getting to Kyiv
Kiev’s principal airport, Boryspil State International Airport is a somewhat inconvenient 35km outside the city. Shuttle buses runs every 25 or 40 minutes to the central train station.
Many international airliens serve Boryspil. A good search engine for cheap flights is momondo.com.
You can find updated information about getting to Kiev at Kiev-Life.com.
